Octavia Art Gallery presented the New Orleans debut exhibition of sculptor Skye Ferrante in March of 2009. When Mr. Ferrante completed his initial Bad Ballet three-piece series in black wire earlier in the year, it was an exciting departure; clearly comedic, employing over-the-top, if not impossible positions. The New Orleans exhibition of sculpture was a continuation of that discovery, and showcased the “impossible” complexity and fluidity of sculpting using one continuous strand of wire.
