Joe Zammit-Lucia's work will be on view in the Gallery Viewing Room in conjunction with the 8th Edition of PhotoNOLA, an annual celebration of photography in New Orleans.

Zammit-Lucia's photographic work explores different aspects of portraiture. For the Viewing Room, we have selected several works from the series, Color New Orleans. These works are the result of a one year project in which the artist constructed a portrait of the city of New Orleans through a series of individual portraits and interviews of people who live in the area.

Zammit-Lucia's work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions at the United Nations in New York, the UN Palais de Nations in Geneva and several national and international galleries. He is the recipient of numerous international awards and his work has been featured in fine art and photography magazines worldwide.
