Jata Brown
Jata’s academic art background began in illustration in Boston and continued in New Orleans.
She furthered her talents through the study of landscape painting in oil and in watercolor.

Jata has been collected and commissioned throughout the country. Most recent gallery shows have been held in Mississippi, Texas, Virginia and New Orleans.
In April 2008, Jata received a national jury award by George Tillis of George Tillis Galleries of New York and Los Angeles.
